Personal Life

Elliot has lived in the Hunter region all his life. Recently married, he lives in East Maitland with his wife Karyn and dog Costello. Elliot and Karyn spend their weekends renovating their home and love travelling both overseas and in Australia when they get the chance.

Elliot enjoys bike riding in his spare time. In 2009 he cycled around Tasmania with some of his friends. The cycling expedition took over 30 days and allowed Elliot to take in a lot of Tasmania’s breath taking scenery and conquer some of its biggest hills. Often at the end of a day’s hard ride Elliot was able to relax and unwind by indulging in some of the ales offered at local pubs. On one particular day Elliot cycled over 100 kms on a corrugated dirt road with a broken seat until he reached the next town.

A supporter of the Collingwood Magpies Elliot enjoys visiting Melbourne to watch them play.

Elliot missed his calling as an astronaut but would like to travel to the moon on Virgin Galactic for a holiday one day.

He continues to develop his knowledge and technical skills and recently attended a small business MBA course run by Stanford University.

As a father of four young boys, he enjoys spending time with his wife and boys and loves exploring all that is on offer in the Newcastle region.

Simon’s passion for helping clients achieve their financial dreams started in 1998 with his first role as a teller with ANZ. He soon excelled and worked his way through to be a fully certified Financial Planner after completing his Diploma (2001), Advanced Diploma (2005) and continued on to complete his Masters of Financial Planning in 2006.

Simon became a business owner in 2007 where he was able to provide quality service and interact with his clients in a more personalised way, which is why he loves what he does on a day to day basis. ‘Not all clients fit into the generic box, I enjoy being able to service my clients with strategies and services that are unique and tailored to their individualised situation’.

Simon has a strong technical background and is highly skilled and experienced in many areas of financial planning, including retirement planning, personal risk insurance, gearing strategies and wealth creation in general. Simon works closely with his clients on an ongoing basis to continually monitor and review their financial strategies.
